Gas Powered Aircraft Tug – For Sale – $750 OBO
This tug was donated anonymously to EAA 105. The built-in battery charger works, but the battery won’t take a charge. (Unit plugs into 110 V.) The axle has 1/2 or 3/4 inch of end-play. A collar needs to be slid over and tightened down to resolve. Otherwise, it starts easily with the pull rope and runs well. Forward, reverse, and clutch all work fine. AA IS, WHERE IS (Hangar G-1, Twin Oaks Airpark.) Proceeds go to EAA 105 General Fund. If interested call Rion at 503-720-9394.

The wings were just recovered using the Stewarts system, up to UV/primer coat (ready for final top coat). The process was supervised by an A&P/IA.  The A&P will complete a 337 and log book entry.  The motor will be completed soon. The case was repaired by Divco, the crankshaft, camshaft and lifter bodies were yellow tagged by Aircraft Specialties.  All reusable parts were inspected and yellow tagged by Premier Aircraft.  We used four new Millenium cylinders and all new hardware.  The starter pinion was modified for a lightweight starter. The motor rebuild is being supervised by an A&P/IA. The A&P will complete a 337 and log book entry.

We’ve spent $25,000 on the restoration to date – $5,500 on the wings and $18,500 on the motor.  Contact Chris Riedener for more details.
