DESCRIPTION:  \nBuilding METAR Maps for our youth to take home. \n“A METAR (METeorological Aerodrome Report) is a standardized\, hourly\, or special aviation routine weather report used by pilots and meteorologists to determine current airport weather conditions. It provides critical\, real-time data—including wind\, visibility\, clouds\, temperature\, and pressure—essential for safe\, informed flight planning and “go/no-go” decisions.” https://www.weather.gov/asos/METAR.html \n****Our METAR maps while drawing correct and accurate data from the weather reporting services should not be used for actual flight planning purposes. **** \n  \n++This is one of the few projects that we request a small donation. We are requesting a $15.00 donation per computer box that Mentor James Breazeal has built for the youth.    Donations are exactly that. The chapter will fund any youth that can use assistance with the cost of the box. ++ \nDonations can be made directly to James on Sunday via Cash\, Check or Venmo. \n  \n  \nWe will have kits for 20 youth to build on Sunday. \n  \nThe project will require punching holes in foam core and the maps\, running wire\, soldering\, gluing. SUMMARY:Pie Auction - Chapter Gathering
DESCRIPTION:November’s Gathering will be the EAA105 Annual Pie Auction. All members are welcome to make a pie to be auctioned off\, raising money for the EAA105 general fund. Show starts at 6:30 pm in the breakfast hangar. Ice cream and pie are available after the auction. \nThe event starts with an annual members meeting\, which is open to the public. The meeting is for the purpose of electing next year’s Board of Directors and Officers. Then the fun of auctioning pies begins. \n \n*  *  *  *  *  *  *  *  *  *  *  *  *  *  *  *  *  *  *  * \nChapter Gatherings – are typically on the second Thursday of every month\, 6:30 pm\, usually at the EAA 105 Hangar (G1) at Twin Oaks Airpark\, although sometimes at other venues. We have some food (small donation requested) and socialize from 6:30 to 7:00 p.m. The meeting begins at 7:00 p.m. with the EAA Monthly video\, followed by a special program. Upcoming programs TBD. \nWe are looking for volunteers to help organize or present at future meetings. You can discuss your build project\, do a presentation\, invite a speaker\, show a movie\, or organize a field trip. Contact Rion Bourgeois with your idea for a chapter meeting.
