One of the advantages of EAA 105 membership is eligibility to sublet Hangars G1 and G3 from EAA 105 to work on your aircraft project. Both hangars are currently sublet to chapter members. Chris Crewdson is the chapter’s subtenant in Hangar G1, and he has two very interesting projects going in Hangar G1.
The first is a 1946 Cessna 120 project that he purchased from the Chapter. The aircraft had been donated to the chapter, and restoration begun by several chapter members in Hangar G1. The project was sold to Chris, and Hanger G1 sublet to him to continue the restoration. It is well along, and he has recently hung the engine.
Chris maintains two google groups for the volunteers, and you can reach him at:

The second is an RV-15 project. Chris has purchased both the wing and tail kits, and begun construction alongside his Cessna 120 project.

He works on them weekends, and is open to volunteers to assist, and would entertain offers to obtain an interest in either or both projects.
This is an excellent opportunity to get some experience in an aircraft sheet metal project and work alongside of some of our chapter members even if you are not interested in obtaining an ownership interest in an aircraft. If interested, you should reach out to Chris at each of the above links to confirm when he will be at hangar G1 working on the projects.
