Breakfast Report

             We served 136 at the December 2, 2023 breakfast, the same number served at the November 4, 2023 breakfast, Visit the chapter website at EAA105.org or contact Cliff Gerber at breakfast@eaa105.org if you want to volunteer as a regular or just for the next breakfast as needed.

Monthly Chapter Meeting

            The monthly chapter meeting will not be held on the usual second Thursday this month.  and it will not be held at Twin Oaks Airpark this month.  Instead, this month’s chapter meeting will be held Sunday, December 17, 2023, at Hanger B12 in the Tower T hangar complex at Hillsboro Airport at noon where we will auction any of the items donated to the chapter by Brent Anderson that did not sell during the website auction.  We will have volunteers at the west 25th Avenue gate (AeroAir on the sign) and at the north Cornell Rd gate (west end of the parking lot) to open the gate from 11:30 a.m. until noon.  Please park in the parking area adjacent to the west transient parking area (look for the blue porta-potty), and then walk down Row B.  Hangar B12 is on the north side of Row B.  You can visit the auction page on the chapter website to read the auction rules and see what did not sell by the closing of the website auction on December 14, 2017.

Build and Fly Program

             Contact Bill Jepson or Mike Whelan for information on this youth activity. The board of directors has authorized the purchase of another kit.

Holiday Banquet

            Our holiday banquet will be held on January 12, 2024, at the Columbia Aviation Association clubhouse at 14323 Stenbock Way NE #9407, Aurora, Oregon.  It is a potluck, so please bring a dish.  The admission fee to cover the rental of the facility to be announced after the next board meeting.

Calendar of Upcoming Events

As described above, the program for the monthly meeting will be the live auction of December 17, 2023, at noon, at the Hillsboro airport.   The potluck  Holiday Banquet will be held on January 12, 2024, at the Columbia Aviation Association Clubhouse at Aurora Airport  First Saturday of Every Month Pancake and Grits Breakfast will occur on the first Saturday of every month. Details of the breakfast are on the chapter website EAA105.org under the “Calendar” tab.  The Cessna 120 project group meets on Saturdays or Sundays and the Build and Fly youth program meets on Sundays at the chapter’s project hangar G1 at Twin Oaks.  Details and contact information are available on our website.
