Sharing passion for aviation!

Donate to Help Youth Learn to Fly!

In 2025, EAA Chapter 105 awarded local young people more than $25,000 in flight training scholarships, providing the opportunity to learn to fly and achieve their dreams. This is only possible thanks to donations from people like you! Every single donation, small or large, meaningfully helps young people reach their goals.

One of our recurring benefactors of the youth flight scholarship program, The Ted Millar Aviation Foundation, has again donated $15,000 this year, and specifically asked us to encourage and challenge others to do the same and contribute what they can, so the combined funds can truly change young peoples’ lives in 2026.

Below you’ll find the information about how you can donate to the EAA 105 Youth Flight Scholarship Program. We hope that as you consider your year-end charitable contributions, you’ll consider helping fund youth scholarships. You can mail a check or make a quick, secure online donation using your debit/credit card. EAA Chapter 105 is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization and will provide a letter documenting your tax-deductible contribution.

Our 2025 scholarship recipients trained for private pilot certification, glider ratings, and more! Without donors like you, many of the youth that receive our scholarships wouldn’t be able to afford to complete their training on their own. Our program has proven to be a meaningful steppingstone for many youth over the years, and that’s something we can all be proud of!

For nearly two decades, our chapter has provided dozens of flight training scholarships to young women and men, helping them reach their dreams of becoming a pilot. Many of those people have gone on to become flight instructors, airline pilots, mechanics, aircraft manufacturers and engineers, test pilots, military pilots, and – of course – Young Eagles pilots, as well! During the month of December, we will share stories of young people whose lives were changed through the availability of our scholarship program.

If you have any questions about the program and how your contribution will benefit the youth we serve, please reach out via email at flightscholarships@eaa105.org or call/text Greg Hughes at 503-410-2254.
