OMAS Grand Re-Opening

Dear RC Aviation Enthusiasts,

Oregon Miniature Aircraft Squadron (OMAS) has completed multiple field upgrades thanks to a former friend, pilot, and long-standing member’s final wishes and donation to reinvigorate our facility.  We now have a newly re-paved 450′ asphalt runway and taxiways, paved parking and approach driveway, a wide cantilevered canopy shelter with memorialized benches, ADA parking, concrete walkways, and 3 strategically buried drainage systems to control water runoff.

We would like to welcome you out for our grand re-opening to celebrate and honor Dave Olsen by flying together and sharing memories of him.  Bring out your favorite planes/helicopters of all sizes, including turbines as our field can accommodate all varieties. Unfortunately, float planes and boats will catch weeds in our pond during the summer.

Special thank you to Phil Theodoseau and Cliff Yee from OMAS for running the Project and to Fly-A-Ways RC Club for allowing us to utilize their facility during construction.
